When growing with CO₂ supplementation, the rules of cultivation change. Plants have access to more carbon than they could normally process, which shifts the photosynthetic bottleneck towards light: if light intensity doesn't keep up with CO₂, the CO₂ is a cost, not an investment. The DimLux Xtreme Series LED 1050W MKII is designed specifically for that scenario — delivering the light intensity needed for plants to make full use of every additional CO₂ molecule.
With an efficacy of 3.6 µmol/J and a total output of 3,931 µmol/s, it is the highest-performance fixture in the Xtreme range, built for professional growers working with CO₂ who understand that photosynthesis has no ceiling — as long as you give it the right tools.
Under normal atmospheric conditions, plants reach light saturation at relatively moderate PPFD levels. When CO₂ concentration is raised to 1,000–1,500 ppm, that saturation point shifts significantly upward: the plant can assimilate more light and produce more biomass — but only if the fixture can deliver it. The 1050W MKII is calibrated to operate in that high-intensity range, where every additional watt translates directly into yield.
One of the most significant innovations in the Xtreme MKII system is its patented integrated ioniser, combining negative ions and cold plasma technology to actively neutralise airborne pathogens — bacteria, mould, viruses and other agents that thrive particularly in enclosed CO₂-enriched environments with high humidity.
Negatively charged ions attach to pathogens, making them too heavy to remain airborne. The controlled combination of positive and negative ions destroys their structure through the energy released. Electrodes are positioned close to the canopy to ensure maximum ion concentration in the growing zone. The system generates no detectable ozone (well below OSHA standards) and is completely safe for plants.
The adjustable PhytoVegSpec® Indoor spectrum provides complete control over spectral quality and light quantity at every stage of cultivation. Distribution is extremely uniform, with deep canopy penetration that promotes homogeneous development across the entire growing surface — particularly relevant in CO₂ grows where the goal is to maximise production across every square centimetre.
The +NIR version adds far-red light that increases photosynthesis, enhances photon absorption and promotes greater vegetative development, with a slight increase in plant stretch. This is the option for growers prioritising maximum yield and greater vegetative mass.
The standard version is ideal for more compact, controlled cultivation where density and structure are the priority without additional stretch.
The integrated RGB LEDs also serve as a green working light during the dark period, activated automatically by the Doppler radar motion sensor without interfering with the photoperiod. The fixture is controllable via Smart Remote, Maxi Controller or internal controller, with 3 smartports for interlink, plant temperature sensor and light sensor.
