Stimulates the creation of oils rich in terpenes and flavonoids

Honey Chome is formulated to increase the production of oils that are high in terpenes and flavonoids and are high in pigments.

Terpenes

Terpenes are the essential elements of many compounds, including essential oils (resins and saps) of many species of plants. They are released by crops as a defense mechanism to repel insects and as a biochemical signal to attract symbiotic organisms, such as beneficial insects or even birds. Terpenes are closely related to the most desired qualities of medicinal crops, that is, their fragrance, taste and potency.

The higher the concentration of terpenes, the greater the fragrance of the flowers. Terpenes like esters, phenols and other volatile aromatic compounds are responsible for the fragrance. Indeed, the different specific terpenes and esters correspond to different specific fragrances (eg, menthol, citrus, woody smell, etc.).

It gives your plants additional energy so they have more vigor in vegetative growth and flowering. Plants make carbohydrates internally during photosynthesis and then use them as a boost for growth.

Although the ability of roots to absorb sugars is disputed, apparently simple carbohydrates (eg monosaccharides) are easily absorbed. Honey Chome contains a variety of simple carbohydrate sources (cane sugar, palm sugar, and agave honey) that are easily absorbed by the roots.

Honey Chome supplies just the right amount of carbohydrates for the rhizosphere. Although some expert growers go for pure molasses, it is difficult to determine precisely how much molasses to add to the container. All microbes, both beneficial and harmful, feed on the sugars in molasses and other carbohydrate sources.

Excess carbohydrates may do more harm than good, providing more food than beneficial microbes need and allowing harmful microbes to thrive on the surplus. In this way, the delicate microbial ecosystem found in the root zone is altered. Honey Chome contains just the right amount of carbohydrates to maintain a vigorous microbial inoculant population.

A soil life improver

Honey Chome provides microbial inoculants with the energy they need to thrive. In the same way that plants use carbohydrates for energy, so do beneficial bacteria and fungi. They consume sugars, root exudates (plant debris), and other organic materials from the rhizosphere. This increases their reproduction and activity in the community.

More microbial activity means that more organic matter is converted to bio-available nutrients. It also implies stronger and longer roots, capable of absorbing more nutrients. And more nutrients mean more growth and flowering ... and bigger harvests.
