Orange Bud - Dutch Passion

Orange Bud is a unique Skunk selection that originated in the 1980s. It was created to be one of the fruitiest varieties available without compromising on yield or quality. This strain quickly became a favorite on the menus of Dutch coffeeshops, known for its reliable strong smoke and great citrus skunk taste.

Appearance and Plant Structure

Orange Bud is a vigorous plant with strong stems and a consistent growth pattern. It produces dense, hard buds covered in crystals and beautiful orange hairs. The plant has a predominantly sativa structure, with buds that can be long and fully stacked from top to bottom. Some phenotypes show a more compact, golf-ball type bud structure, which adds considerable weight at harvest.

Cultivation Characteristics

Orange Bud is easy to grow and suitable for novice and expert growers alike. Its Skunk genes make it robust and tolerant to various conditions.

Indoor Cultivation: Indoors, Orange Bud flowers in about 8-9 weeks. It is recommended a 4-6 weeks vegetative phase (keep the vegetative period shorter if you want to keep it compact and bushy). To maximize yields of Orange Bud, it is recommended to grow it in a SOG or SCROG setup. It is a vigorous plant and not fussy about nutrients, making it an excellent choice for novice growers.  It responds well to training and manipulation and has excellent nutrient tolerance. Orange Bud produces large harvests of high-quality cannabis, with yields ranging from 400 to 450+ grams per square meter

Outdoor Cultivation: Outdoors, it preferes warm, sunny climates to produce frostier buds and higher yields. It is typically ready for harvest in early to mid October. The plant doubles in size during flowering, so it is important to plan the growing space accordingly.
