The WCS-1 is a water content sensor designed for integration with TrolMaster's Aqua-X system. Calibration:

The WCS-1 probe can be used in numerous growing media. Before first use, it is recommended to calibrate the probe in the specific substrate that will be used along with the nutrient solution.

1️⃣ Insert the WCS-1 probe into the substrate to be used, approximately 1/3 of the distance from the bottom of the container.

2️⃣ Fully saturate the substrate with solution until runoff appears. DO NOT USE low EC water as it will affect calibration.

3️⃣ Let the sample sit for 2-3 minutes.

4️⃣ Press and hold the black button on the WCS-1 for 5 seconds. The calibration at 100% will appear on the screen. Press the button again to confirm the 100% calibration.

5️⃣ Once the calibration is completed 100%, REMOVE the WCS-1 probe from the substrate and quickly press the black button 5 times to start the 0% calibration. Press the black button again to confirm the calibration.

Now the meter will be calibrated for the substrate you are working with, it is recommended to recalibrate the probe if the type of substrate is changed and when starting a new cultivation cycle.
