Watermelon Runtz is an Indica-dominant strain developed by the seed bank Silent Seeds through a cross between Watermelon Zkittlez and Runtz. This variety develops like most modern hybrids, with a generally slim, robust appearance and good vigor. The internodal distance is quite wide, and the leaves are large, with broad, deep green leaflets. During the vegetative stage, it develops many secondary branches that will need to be pruned or guided using the appropriate method (FIM, LST, supercropping, lollypopping, etc.) to achieve a uniform and abundant flower production.

Due to its high yield and the final quality of the product, Watermelon Runtz is perfect for commercial growers. The buds are very dense, ball-shaped, and literally covered with trichomes. In an indoor setup, it can produce up to 550 grams per square meter, while outdoors, yields of up to 1400 grams per plant can be harvested. Its cultivation is straightforward, and its fertilizer needs are moderate. If grown indoors, it is advisable not to give it more than three weeks of vegetative growth.

Watermelon Runtz produces flowers with a rich and delicate aroma, with strong notes of juicy freshly cut watermelon accompanied by hints of diesel, ripe tropical fruit, and cream pie.
