  • Oak Processionary Caterpillars (Thaumetopoea processionea)

  • Hop Vine Moth Larvae (Korscheltellus lupulina)

5. Hemiptera

  • Platanus Lace Bug (Corythucha ciliata)

Preparation Solution Instructions:

  1. Initial Preparation:

    • Remove the nematode sachets from the packaging.
    • Allow the sachets to reach room temperature for 30 minutes.
  2. Water Dissolution:

    • Pour the contents of each sachet into a bucket with at least 2 liters of water per sachet.
    • Ensure that the water temperature is between 15-20ºC.
  3. Soaking and Mixing:

    • Shake the solution well and let it sit for 5 minutes.
    • Stir the mixture again.
  4. Transfer to Spray Tank:

    • Pour the contents into a spray tank that is filled halfway.
      • Note: If mixing the tank with a compatible product, pour Entonem in last, into a fully filled tank.
    • Keep the mixture in continuous agitation (e.g., using a recirculating pump).
  5. Final Tank Fill:

    • Fill the tank with the necessary amount of water.

Application Instructions:

Application Equipment:

Nematodes can be applied using:

- A watering can.
- A compressed air sprayer.
- An irrigation system.
- A backpack sprayer.
- A motorized sprayer.

Prevention of Clogs:

Remove all filters, especially those smaller than 0.3 mm (50 mesh).

Nozzle Configuration:

Use a maximum pressure of 20 bars / 290 psi (at the nozzle).

Ensure that the nozzle opening is at least 0.5 mm (35 mesh).

Preference: Fast flow conical nozzles.

Constant Mixing:

Keep the mixture constantly agitated to prevent nematodes from settling at the bottom of the tank.

Tank Conditions:

The water temperature in the tank should not exceed 25ºC (77ºF).

The water pH should be between 5 and 7.

Application of the Solution:

Spray the solution evenly over the soil surface or crop substrate.

Application Using Irrigation Systems:

For irrigation systems or Dosatron/Venturi, it is recommended to use pressure-compensated irrigation systems.

If not available, prefer spray or drench applications.

For injection using Dosatron/Venturi, seek specific advice.

Application Time:

Spray the solution as soon as possible after preparation.

Complete the application within a maximum of 5 hours.

Do not store mixed suspensions.

Environmental Conditions:

Temperature Range:

The soil or air temperature should be between 5ºC (41ºF) and 35ºC (95ºF) to avoid lethal conditions for nematodes.

The optimal temperature is between 19º-31ºC (66-88ºF).

Sensitivity to UV Light:

Nematodes are sensitive to ultraviolet (UV) light. Avoid exposing them to direct sunlight.

Soil Moisture Content:

Maintain the soil moisture content elevated for several days after application.

It is recommended to irrigate the crop before and immediately after application.

Foliar Applications:

Spray Entonem when the relative humidity exceeds 75% for several hours after treatment.

Using a wetting agent or anti-desiccant additive can be beneficial.

Application Timing:

Spray in the late evening or early morning so that nematodes can act under optimal temperature and humidity conditions.

Storage:

Upon Receipt:

The envelopes can be stored until the expiration date as long as they have not been opened.

Storage Temperature:

Keep the envelopes at a temperature of 2-6ºC (36-43ºF).

They can be stored in a household refrigerator, ensuring that the temperature does not drop below 2ºC.
